Oqimta is an online journal in the field of classical rabbinic literature (Tannaitic and Amoraic literature). It also invites contributions on other aspects of late ancient Jewish culture and history (e.g., piyyut, magical texts, art, inscriptions), as well as on the reception of rabbinic literature in the medieval and modern periods. We welcome a variety of methods and approaches to the field.
Oqimta is a free, open-access annual publication. Articles that have completed the review process are uploaded to the site prior to the closing of the issue and may be found on the "Advanced Articles" page. An international editorial board oversees the peer-review process and editorial decisions. We are committed in the strongest terms to gender equality.
